April 4 - 8, 2016 - Zone Interviews and Dinners

April 4 - President Thomas is interviewing all 3 zones in the Lubumbashi City area the next 3 days. Each zone has their day of interviews and then Sister Thomas has dinner for one zone each night.

April 5 - We took Elder (Dr.) Peterson to the airport this morning. His father passed away and he is flying home for the funeral. Sister Peterson will be staying and handling all the medical calls.

April 6 - Kisanga Zone Dinner

April 7, 2016 - We needed supplies for the incoming missionaries. Elder Peterson took Sister Vance and I downtown to buy sheets, blankets, pillows, etc.

All the convert baptisms needed to be entered by April 7 in order to "count" for the month of March. The count ended up 343 baptisms entered. Here is a picture of the filing cabinet with the baptisms. Each paper represents one person. The file farthest back is January, in the middle is February, and the closet file is the March baptisms. Sister Draper entered all the baptisms in January and most of the ones in February. I entered a few in February so she could teach me how. She and Elder Draper left on March 1 so I entered all the ones for March. I really could have used her help.

Each homeowner must be responsible for the "ditch" area of their property. This was being constructed at one property. It goes around the corner and down to the end of the matching wall.
Cement ditch for water runoff

We are now looking in the other direction away from the main road. Same property, same gray wall.

Detail of the cement ditch. The workers did a good job of finishing the cement..

Still under construction
